Got questions?
Feel free to ask me any questions. I’d be more than pleased to talk about this car.

Detailing

Of course this car hasn’t seen snow.  You can tell the care given to a convertible car by the condition of the roof.  From the condition of this “rag top”, you can easily tell that this car was garaged all of it’s life.  Besides, with only 26,000 miles on it, someone was thinking the same way I do.  Just to be driven on sunny days.

It’s important to always use the window blanket when lowering the top.  This eliminates any scratches.

Over the holidays (Xmas ’05), I have completely detailed this car inside and out.  Firstly, I clayed the exterior using the Mothers Clay Bar System followed by a coat Mothers Carnauba Cleaner Wax.  This, along with the wheels, were all topped off with Collinite's No. 845 Heavy Duty Insulator Wax.  The interior was totally cleaned, then all leather protected with Mothers Leather Conditioner.

Some people call me “anal”, but this is not my daily driver car.  I bought this car to have fun driving so I don’t take it to work.  I don’t drive it if the forecast calls for anything but sun.  I enjoy looking after my cars and take pride in their appearance.  Most of all, I will not park my Z3 where there may be a chance of a door ding or damage of any kind.

Claying a car …

The concept of rubbing a very fine clay (using a liquid) to extract oxidization, residue from the car’s paint is fairly new but becoming more popular.  It’s safe as long as you follow the directions.  The results are truly amazing … particularly on a black car.  You can’t appreciate the shine and depth of paint on this Z3 without viewing it up close.
